"In 1976 or 1977, I sat on the board of directors
for the Yukon Association of Non-status Indians.
I was privy to many of the conversations and
decisions that were made during that time
period, and the respect and admiration of many
of the people who laid the framework of what
we are dealing with will forever remain in
my heart. A lot of them got tired and stopped
working. A lot of them passed over, but a lot of
them are still in the trenches, still trying to work
for the betterment of their people, bless their
souls."

Land tour

Next the land tour drove down the Annie Lake Road and stopped
at the Red Ridge pullout. Here, large Category A Settlement Land
blocks were chosen to cover potential mineral deposits in the
area.
