The Wellness team works together using a traditional, holistic approach to help our citizens improve their wellness. The Carcross Tagish Wellness Program strives to bring the 4 elements of the Values and Virtues of Life (mental, emotional, spiritual and physical) into their work and ensures that the work reflects life’s four stages- child, youth, adult and elder. The assistance is offered in a respectful way with a view toward supporting self-sufficiency where possible. We also offer seasonal ‘work opportunity’ programs for social assistance recipients. This program is run in partnership with other CTFN departments such as Capital Projects. The goal is to provide individuals with work experience and to explore future employment options.
