Consult with us

Carcross/Tagish First Nation has adopted the consultation and engagement portal NationsConnect.

Note for the 2023 hunting season: If you are a hunter seeking permission to hunt on Category A settlement land, go to Heritage, Lands & Natural Resources and follow the instructions to submit your application.

What is NationsConnect?

NationsConnect is a user-friendly online portal that government, industry, and individuals can use to submit their land-based projects within our Traditional Territory. Legislation, policy, and regulation creation or amendments that affect C/TFN land, water, or people can also be submitted.

How do I submit my project?

Go to nationsconnect.ca to create an account. After your account is set up, submitting your project is as easy as sending an email.
You will need a spatial file of the project area footprint in .kml, .kmz or zipped shapefile format. If you have questions about the spatial file requirement, email support@nationsconnect.ca for assistance.
After your project is submitted, it will be assigned to the relevant staff members for review.

What types of projects get submitted?

Any project that occurs in or affects C/TFN’s Traditional Territory or our Citizens can be submitted.

Why NationsConnect?

NationsConnect streamlines the consultation review process and empowers us to query projects against our own data.

C/TFN advocates for proponents engaging with us prior to submitting to the Yukon Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment Board (YESAB) or applying to the Yukon, British Columbian, or Federal Governments for permits.

If you’re unsure if you should submit your project, or have other questions about NationsConnect, email emily.macht@ctfn.ca.
