To all employees,
We want to acknowledge the concerns that some of you may be experiencing in light of the recent protest activity near the C/TFN Administration Building. While peaceful expression is a right we respect, we are deeply concerned by the discriminatory comments and intimidating conduct that have been directed at staff, particularly those who are non-Indigenous. This behaviour is unacceptable and does not reflect the values of our government or our Nation as a whole.
Please be assured that C/TFN is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for all employees. We take these matters seriously and continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure your safety and well-being.
We remind all staff that our Workplace Anti-Violence and Harassment Prevention Policy outlines our clear commitment to a work environment free from harassment, discrimination, and intimidation. Any conduct that violates this policy – whether by employees, citizens, or visitors – will not be tolerated.
If you have experienced or witnessed any concerning behaviour, we encourage you to report it to your supervisor or to Human Resources. Reports will be addressed promptly and confidentially. Additionally, counselling and support services are available through our Employee Assistance Program, and we urge anyone feeling affected to make use of these resources.
Thank you for your continued professionalism and dedication under challenging circumstances. C/TFN remains committed to your safety and to fostering a workplace where every employee feels respected and protected.
