Sacred Fire for residential school victims

THIS MORNING --- At Health and Wellness, and on behalf of Carcross/Tagish First Nation, we want to say a prayer today for all of the children whose remains were found at the Kamloops residential school, for their families and their loved ones.

This has been a horrific discovery, but confirmation for so many First Nations people and families as a direct result from the Canadian residential school system. We need to stand together in solidarity and love to support one another.

Please join us at the old Choutla residential site at 10am as we pray and have a sacred fire with Harold Gatensby for all of the children and families affected by such atrocities.

Transportation will be provided - please meet us out front of the main C/TFN admin building before 10am. Lunch will be served at Haa Shagóon Hídi shortly after 12pm, with transportation back to Haa Shagóon Hídi.
